All Done . . .

Posted on Updated on

L has learnt a couple of new words this week. “All done”. Well they are not exactly words as we would call them but the two sounds that she makes certainly sound something like them.  When she has finished eating she looks at Mrs B and says “All done”. “Yes I am L yes I am” is the reply.

Lugging 12lbs plus of babies around all day is taking it’s toll on K. Not even my consoling story about how my grandmother carried my twin uncles until they were 9lbs each managed to lighten the mood!  I know I know but I honestly thought it would help.

Over the last couple of weeks K has been consumed by the twins. They have well and truly taken control of K and it appears that they have established an unforgiving dictatorship inside their host. Kicks to the ribs if she sits in the wrong position, terrible indigestion if she eats the wrong thing and worst of all a couple of squeezes of bladder if she dares to go to sleep.  Even Joseph Stalin would be impressed with their iron fist rule.

I wonder how long it will be before they tire of their current somewhat cramped confines and look to expand their empire and cross the border into the world.  I don’t think its going to be long.  As with all dictators once they have had a taste of power the only thing they want is more.

At least K will be able to summon reinforcements to help in this new phase of their attempt to conquer the world.  We will be able to offer a united front and hopefully I can be more help than offering the odd miss timed anecdote!

Thank you for the mention. Very much appreciated. Mrs B’s birthday today so double the presents required.

Oh, I did laugh at your faux pas. You are lucky she didn’t whack you over the head with a frying pan.

Hope that the last weeks of pregnancy are not too uncomfortable for her.
