In a word . . .

We have a good friend staying with us at the moment who is flush with the joys of being a new mother.  Actually I have to say she looks very well without the usual bags under the eyes, grey hairs of stress and general air of fatigue!

When discussing her new found status in the world we asked if it was as she had expected.

“Well I think I was pretty well prepared for the whole thing, as well as can be really, and have lots of friends with babies but I definitely wasn’t prepared for just how……(pause)….. relentless the whole thing can be”

A quick glance round the room to see Our Leader running her pram at high speed towards the heads of the twins prompted sage nods of understanding all round!
